Medication Aide

Learn the skills to become a North Carolina Medication Aide. This 24 hour long approved Board of Nursing class prepares the individual to administer medications in a long term care setting. Upon completion of the program, students are eligible to take the NC Board of Nursing Medication Aide Exam.
According to Board of Nursing regarding the Med Aide/Med Tech..."Individuals who have completed the 24-hour Board of Nursing-approved Medication Aide course and are currently listed on the NC Medication Aide Registry are not required to complete the 5/10 or 15-hour training."

Prerequisites for registration are:
  Must provide a copy of one of the following:  Unofficial High School transcripts, College Transcripts, GED, or Equivalency


**You must be listed on the NC Nurse Aide I Registry prior to employment as a Medication Aide
