Pharmacy Technician This program will prepare the student for an entry-level pharmacy technician position by
teaching them medical and pharmaceutical terminology, basic anatomy related to the
pharmacology of medications, and pharmaceutical calculations. The Pharmacy Technician
program will give the student the information to process prescriptions and apply physician
orders and ally that knowledge to fill mock prescriptions.


Upon completion of this program the student should be able to demonstrate the attributes that
includes ethics of pharmacy practice and education about prescription medications, and patient
care and interactions. They will demonstrate this through discussions boards, quizzes, small
group role playing, tests, and homework assignments.


Completion of this program allows the individual to be eligible for the National Pharmacy Technician Certification Exam (PTCE) through the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB).


Pharmacy Technician Hybrid
Includes all of the same learning aspects of the Pharmacy Technician Exam Prep Online program while utilizing the classroom and online environment. Students will participate in discussion boards, online materials, quizzes, and access to videos. The students will also be required to attend laboratory and classroom experiences.

Required Text (Included): The Pharmacy Technician 7th ed, by the American Pharmacists Association (APhA) and The Pharmacy Technician, Workbook & Certification Review, 7e


Prerequisites for registration are:
   Must provide a copy of one of the following: unofficial High School transcripts, College                Transcripts, GED, or Equivalency
